What IS Montessori anyway? It’s a style of education that focuses on hands-on learning to develop a child’s sense of independence through real-world skills. We are fortunate to have Guidepost Montessori coming in to PBB on Saturday, 5/11 for story and craft time to talk about their school and Montessori education.

Angelina's Cinderella Release - Very Nice Mice Storytime and Craft
Come join us to celebrate the latest from Angelina Ballerina - Angelina's Cinderella! We'll be reading from both Angelina and Claris, the Chicest Mouse in Paris. They're very nice mice!
We invite our friends to stay after story time to make a beautiful flower hair tie to accessorize their dancewear or their favorite outfit!
Ways to Play - Storytime and Suncatcher Craft
Let's capture that delicious vitamin D this year! We will be reading the book "Ways to Play", a story about perspective, and our friends are invited to stay afterward to make crayon suncatchers with us!
Enemy Pie - Team Bake
Got an enemy? Need to figure out what to do with them? Now that summer is here, you can't avoid dealing with those pesky people... come on over and enjoy story time (reading Enemy Pie, duh), and assembling our no-bake dirt pies. Totally delicious, and no real worms included... we think!
*Enemy pie does include gluten and dairy.
Storytime with Elsa!

Represent! Launch Party with Rosalie and Hunter Mastaler
Authors Rosalie and Hunter Mastaler, with illustrator Brant Day have done it again! In their newest release, Represent! Vol. 1, they explore the true stories of trailblazers, artists, athletes, and adventurers with disabilities.
We are excited to welcome you to our very first after-hours event, a launch party celebrating Represent!

Author Event - Rosalie Mastaler Reading
Author and disability advocate, Rosalie Mastaler has done it again! But before we celebrate her newest book with son, Hunter, let’s go back to where it all started. Rosalie will be at PBB to read her first book, Hunter’s Tall Tales, on April 6th.

Join us for our second series of the Cereal Book Club, reading the Fabled Stables (3 book collection), and meeting every other Saturday at 10 a.m.
Kitty-Corn Release Party!
We can’t wait to celebrate the release of the newest Kitty-Corn tale - or should we say… tail?! In the fourth book of the series, Unicorn dreams of becoming a mermaid. Kitty-Corn gets out her craft kit to make one enormous, gorgeous mermaid tail, and the pair head off to the beach! Things don’t go as planned, and Kitty-Corn has to find a way to save their adventure.

Silent Read-In
Looking for something for your bigger kids to do? If they can read in their heads, they're old enough to enjoy our Silent Read-In.
Middle grade and young adult readers are invited to pick a book, grab a snack and drink, and find a cozy spot to relax for a bit.
Can’t pick? Mystereads available for those who dare! Books will be wrapped and labeled with genre and appropriate age groups.
Popcorn, water, and sodas provided by PBB.
*Book purchase required before getting snacks or drinks.
Matilda Mini with LHS Cast
Come meet the LHS cast from their most recent production, Matilda!
These fantastic high school actors will do a reading for us, and then take questions from aspiring actors.
Matilda is geared toward young-middle grade readers.

Cereal Book Club

Story Time Yoga
We are SO excited to present Story Time Yoga with Little Bluebonnet Adventures!
Alyssa's classes combine literacy and yoga-based movement.
Kids move along through stories while practicing spatial awareness and enhancing physical skills from recognizing body parts to strengthening muscles.
*Class will be capped at 15 children; liability waivers must be signed before participating.

What to do with a Box
Who has boxes?! Who loves boxes?!
From Jane Yolen and Chris Sheban, we bring you "What to Do with a Box", a read and play activity day at PBB.
Bring your little, and we'll have the boxes, crayons, markers, and book. Let them get creative while we read this delightfully imaginative story.
Fun with Salt Dough
Did you know that flour, salt, and water can end up as hours of fun for your littles?
On Saturday, 1/27, our resident Granny (Deborah) will be putting on a Salt Dough workshop! We'll provide the dough, and the kids will get to practice rolling it out and cutting out shapes with cookie cutters.
Bring them on in to enjoy and create fun memories together!
